If You've Never Done Amigurumi, Start Here! This is a brilliant crochet/amigurumi instruction book. I'll start with the least important. The production values are gorgeous. There are a huge number of beautiful, instructive photos. The patterns are decidedly 'cute' (or kawaii as the author says - a trending Japanese term - myself, I prefer the British 'twee'). But it's the quality of the instructions that pushed me to take the time to write a review. The instructions are brilliant. Doctor Lee is a scientist by day and the instructions show the attention to detail required of a scientific publication, or an experimental protocol for someone else to follow. I believe you could learn to crochet from these illustrations, and certainly you will be able to crochet and assemble each of these dolls with minimum stress. To top it all, throughout are QR codes leading to video tutorials. Oh, and each doll comes with a story! I'm an instant fan, and a follower. (I've been doing complex crochet for 53 years and amigurumi for 10.)
