Funny and relatable Funny and relatable! When my doctor told me to go gluten-free because of thyroid issues, I looked at her like she was nuts. Then I hopped onto amazon and looked up books. As soon as I saw this title, I knew this would be the book for me. Going gluten-free is not easy, but then again, neither are the consequences of eating gluten and the author does not sugar-coat anything. I kind of wish she was my friend because this book really helped me deal with being GF.No pictures, uses sugar in recipes I bought it as a gift for my boss who's gluten-free. She returned it to me because of the following reasons that I agree with:- no pictures! This book is so not meant for visual people. People don't absorb and learn the same way so this was a major setback.- she uses sugar in her recipes. This is a big reason the book was not accepted- the hardcover page quality is low. It didn't give me any pleasure to sift through the pages I was expecting a much higher quality paper that's nice to breeze through.This will be my final attempt at trying to find a gift for someone who is gluten-free. This purchase experience tells me we are far from making this widely palatable.Love It! I love this! The author voiced everything I have been thinking since I was diagnosed with celiac disease! She made fun a sucky situation and still made you realize how important it is to eat right and take care of yourself. I am forever changed by reading this! I have recommended this to anyone and everyone I come across that has issues with gluten.
